Founder / President
Chris Collier is a veteran of California politics. In 2008, he founded Rincon Strategies, to focus on crafting strategy and navigating complex public policy issues for clients across the state. .
Chris and his team successfully manage both candidate and issue campaigns from statewide to local. Over the last 10 years, Collier has worked on over 100 political races from statewide and has successfully elected candidates in almost every major media market in the state.
In the public affairs space, he works on energy, transportation, water and land use issues with key corporate clients.
He currently serves as the Vice Chair of the WSPA Coastal Associates, and as Co-Chair of the Building Industry Association's Ventura County Working Group, Secretary of the Ventura County Business Council, and served as Chair of the Inland Empire Taxpayers Association. He is also an active member of Ventura County COLAB and several Chambers of Commerce across the State.
Chris has also held roles with political organizations, including adjunct faculty at with the Leadership Institute teaching political communication, guest lecturing to classes at both CSUCI and Cal Lutheran University, and has served on the boards of the Young Republican National Federation and the California Young Republican Federation.
In 2015 Collier was named '40 under 40' by the Pacific Coast Business Times. In 2018, he was recognized for his work in co-founding ThomasFireHelp.org, a non-profit organization that connected help with need to help fire and mudslide victims and launched and coordinated the Montecito Airlift to shuttle doctors, patients and critical personnel between Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties with volunteer air service.
He graduated from the University of Southern California with a BS in Business Administration and has his Masters in Public Policy & Administration from California Lutheran University.
Chris started Rincon in Ventura and spent year there and most recently in Santa Barbara. Today, he is based in the Palm Springs area in Bermuda Dunes trying to lower his (very high) golf handicap and travels around the state to meet with clients- unless it is snowing in the Sierras, where you'll find him in Mammoth skiing.
